Here we go..for the first time, with the Week 12 edition of the Model 284 Saturday Fantasy Preview. If you are looking for a blend of numbers and subjectivity to help guide your lineup, then this is the right place for you.
Due to an intense turkey related coma that lasted ~48 hours, this weeks fantasy preview is coming to you on leftovers Saturday, instead of Black Friday.

Player Notes From Week 12:
Case Keenum: After watching another impressive performance for Case on Turkey Day, I’m starting to wonder if he is a legitimate every-week starter for the remainder of the year. Obviously, he isn’t a top 5 QB, but it’s possible he may have played himself in the matchup dependent revolving door of QB 8-15. With a couple of tough road match-ups ahead, I’m going to wait and see, but Case has made himself impossible to ignore for now.
Week 12 Studs:
Matt Ryan: “Matty Ice” has been a disappointment to fantasy owners all year, but he has had some quiet success in the last 4 games. Ryan has 8 TDs in that span, which includes road games against the Seahawks and Panthers. Playing the Buccaneers this week is a good spot for his roll to continue, as they are allowing more than 20 points a game to fantasy QBs this season. If for no other reason, you should start Ryan this week because his wife just had twins. On Thanksgiving, the Vikings’s Everson Griffin, who had a son earlier that morning, exploded for 2 sacks. If one kid brought on that game, we’ll see what twins bring to the table #NarrativeStreet
T.Y. Hilton: As I outlined earlier in the year, this season Hilton has been the most matchup-dependent player in the league, by far. He is scorching bad defenses and is practically absent against good ones. Luckily, this week he is playing one of the bad ones – the Titans are allowing the 4th most fantasy points above expectation to WRs this year. Based on this pattern, you can pencil in T.Y. for 150+ yards and a score this week.
Corey Coleman: In just one game back, Coleman showed us that he is immediately the best player on the Browns offense. He is a dynamic receiver with a higher floor than we’ve seen from a pass-catcher in Cleveland since Josh Gordon. The Browns will have to get him the ball, and if they’re smart, that will be the majority of their offensive gameplan. Playing the Bengals on the road isn’t an ideal matchup, but I’m a Coleman believer, and you should be too #30targets
Week 12 Duds:
Jared Goff: Last week I outlined the struggles Goff has had against good defenses this season. In Week 12, he will be playing the Saints’s solid passing defense, which will be another tough matchup for him, and the absence of Robert Woods this week won’t help. He will struggle this week – in the same way he has all year. Find other options at QB.
Adrian Peterson: Peterson has been borderline disgusting to watch the last couple of weeks. He looks like the player we knew he was during his home stretch with the Vikings. Playing the Jaguars will only hurt his chances of turning things around. Stay away from AP this week.
Amari Cooper: Cooper has had a tough 2017 so far. He has underperformed the entire year aside from his blowout game against KC. This week against Denver is not an ideal spot for him to get back on track, and I’m not betting on him living up to his elite fantasy potential. You’ll probably have to start him if you drafted him in most leagues, but keep your expectations very low in this one.
